for “Enhancing Colistin Activity against Colistin-Resistant Escherichia coli through Combination with Alginate Nanoparticles and Small Molecules”. Pharmaceuticals.

The jury, chaired by Professor François Schelcher (ENVT), selected this publication from an international journal, highlighting its scientific quality. This article received the highest score during the jury’s evaluation.

This publication was deemed relevant to support the objective of the Ecoantibio plan: reducing the risk of antimicrobial resistance emergence and maintaining an effective therapeutic arsenal. It addresses the challenges of the plan and offers a new, original approach to combining an antibiotic with novel molecules to maintain its efficacy while reducing the required quantity. The choice of Colistin, an important antibiotic in veterinary medicine, is judicious, and the approach is of interest to the pig industry due to its promising applicability.
